Brandy Pitcher, First Time Producer

She Really Has No Idea What She's Doing...
and that is more than we could have ever hoped for.
I won't give away too many details about how I came to know Brandy Pitcher because that is part of the film. I will tell you that we cast her to play an incredibly significant role in a photo shoot that we produced for Holly Hess Ricks in July 2017.
If you don't already know by now, it is this very photo shoot that inspired the feature length motion picture, "A Seat For Everyone."

Holly and I were deep into production of her photo shoot in mid July of 2017, two weeks before the shoot date. We had previously cast this particular role with someone I thought was a perfect fit. After a preliminary discussion about the character it was decided that she be released from the project.
It was serendipity that she was. But now I had to find someone else...and fast!
I scrambled to find a woman that looked like the "every woman." I wanted someone with a timeless beauty, endless eyes and a soul that knew no time. The character she would portray would need to be the epitome of womanhood, motherhood, wife-hood and a representative of all things human and all things virtuous.
I called agencies all over Utah. Stephanie Brochinsky, an agent with Niya Management, got back to me almost immediately. Within a few moments I was staring at the woman who would become my partner in production for the most incredible project of my career. I just didn't know it yet.

I wasn't really interested in Brandy's personality or personal history. She had the look I was going for so that was enough for me. I sent her picture to Holly who instantly agreed with me and with no more effort than that, Brandy was cast.
Neither of us could have ever guessed how paramount our hasty decision to cast Brandy would become.
Immediately after the original photo shoot in August 2017 Brandy joined the "A Seat For Everyone" crew as the producer while still juggling her full time nursing career. As of June 2018, Brandy joined Life According to Cactus Productions as their full time producer. Prior to June, Brandy has worked as an ER and New Born ICU nurse for the past 18 years. She has been a fundamental organizer and counselor for The University of Utah Burn Camp program for the past 17 years. She has served the community in countless ways. But it is the role she plays as wife, mother, sister, daughter and cousin to her immense family that truly makes her a saint. Brandy is a peacekeeper on set and off!
She might have almost one film under her belt as a producer, but Brandy's quiet leadership keeps us all in line....and inspired.
